Happy New Year sahib! I've enjoyed Judt's writings over the years in NYRB and other places. I'll keep an eye out for this one.

I love this poem. Have youread the Tony Judtbook? It looks really interesting. I came across Tony Snyder recently with his book " Bloodlands- Europe between Hitler and Stalin". An excellent book

Krystyna, thanks for visiting. I love that poem as well.

I did read Judt's book. It is a good summary of his political and historical reflections at the tail end of his life. You do miss the authentic Judt voice here as Snyder needs to fill in the gaps in Judt's conversation.
